Check out my deco book!

So, I'm sure a lot of you have heard that Domino launched a new feature recently titles, "My Deco File." It's a pretty nifty tool that allows you to organize all of your inspirational photos, even those that aren't from Domino. You can create "books," or albums to organize your concepts. Below is a book I created called "Living rooms," which contains shots I found inspiring.

You can try finding more of my images by searching "Decorology" after signing up, or go straight to my profile.

Ideas and Inspiration, Designer Portfolios!

Thought I'd help us all over hump day with my favorite content- designer (and interior photographer) portfolios! I hope you find something to inspire you, and excite you for the weekend - spent in your home, not the office.

Spacious retro kitchen

A library in a hallway - notice all the window seats.

Love the pasta canisters, and the cabinet hardware

The botanical prints above the couch really make this room for me

Look! - traditional need not mean boring

I was pleasantly surprised when I perused the house tours on Traditional Home's website. There really was a lot of eye-candy to be found, as well as some practical solutions one can pull off in her or his own home!

Add some retro to your rooms

Retro is big - in fact, it's even called,"modern retro" now. But a lot of spaces one sees in magazines just look like exhibits you'd see in the Museum of Modern Art. So how do you combine your love for the aesthetics of the past without feeling trapped in a plastic world? Take a cue from these rooms below, which do a good job of combining retro elements, but still make for a warm living space.
