House tour: A lovely Swedish home in black and white...

This home is so pretty - I definitely have some home envy going on. I could never be so disciplined though, as to only buy things in black and white. I'm bad about that - If I like it, it could serve a purpose, and I can afford it, I buy it. I worry about it fitting in (and sometimes not) later.

I'm digging the birch(?) branch!

How about you?  Are you good at sticking to a color palette in your home or do you stray?

Lovely kitchens that will inspire you

Once the weather gets chilly we spend even more time in the kitchen baking up warm goodies. So I thought it'd be appropriate to post some kitchens which get me excited for the upcoming cooking/baking season - even though I primarily just eat the food - and someone else makes it. All of these images are from our dearly departed Domino.

What do you think of the back splash and counter?

Interesting wood paneling...yay or nay?

so bright and cheery - perfect for muffin eating in the morning

A contemporary midwest home that pulls off eclectic!

I love this home. It's so natural looking - granted a bit too clean to really be lived in - but I love how furnishings and decor are pulled from different spots on the globe, at different times in history, and yet it still flows together. Thoughts?

I like how the mirror falls behind the couch a bit - it keeps the room looking casual

Love those slipcovers

I want a farm table!

Photographer's portfolio! Awesome interiors...

Welcome to the wonderful work of Paul Costello! You've probably seen his work in various issues of Domino magazine. He has a great range and I love the homey, eclectic, well-worn feeling of these homes.

Interior designer portfolio

It's been awhile since I featured a portfolio on Decorology, so I thought I'd mix things up. And boy, do I have a good one for you! Comin atcha is the work of renowned interior designer David Netto. I love his modern retro sensibility, and while I'm not usually into eclectic decorating, he does it really well!

wow...looks like this house might actually be lived in...

I'm feeling a tree in my bedroom...

This cozy modern home belongs to Netto's ex-fiance, actress Ione Skye

Another blue striped rug.. I want one!

I like the big photograph of the room behind the table...it opens the space up.
